DJ Classes // 101
This class is for anyone wanting to see their potential turn into reality. This is a 6 week 90min course designed to get you up and going. All you need to bring is your laptop and headphones. Instruction provided on our equipment. These lessons can be applied on any DJ software. 9 total hours of powerful instruction (Private Classes Available)
Emphasis on...
* music theory (counting beats, bars and measures)
* ethics (do's and don'ts of pro djing, being a pro)
* intro to beatmixing (how and when to mix music)
* techniques to reading a crowd
* music organization (set-up folders and crates)
* intro to video mixing - earn more as a video dj
* methods to marketing 101 (get booked!)
* hands on instruction and demo
* equipment 101
* proper mic techinique
* guest speakers and so much more!!!
90 min class meets every Saturday

I am completing my 6 weeks courses (101 and 202) at DFW DJ School with DJ XL! I already have about 2 years industry, but decided to take both classes and it has been an EXCELLENT experience. I have learned so much in both classes in such a short timeframe. David "DJ XL" not only teaches tips and tricks of DJ-ing but also the business side of the industry in depth. He is very professional and passionate about teaching others. He has a variety of equipment for you to practice on which includes not only controllers, but turntables as well.
